Fall Multi Sport Clinic hosted by Hightstown High School

HEWYBL proudly supports the Hightstown Athletic Department in this clinic scheduled for this Saturday from Noon to 2 o'clock.

Dear Community Youth Program,

This Saturday the Hightstown Athletic Dept. is hosting our first ever Multi-Sport Clinic where our high school athletes and coaches teach East Windsor Regional students from Kindergarten through 5th grade the different sports we offer during each season.  This clinic is created in an effort to combat the recent research aired on ESPN that kids today are "retiring" from playing sports by age 11 and aren't motivated to participate in a variety of sports.  This Saturday, 9/14 from 12:00 to 2:00 we will be working on the fall sports that our students play at the Hightstown High School stadium.  In conjunction with the clinics, we would like to set up an information booth for organizations like yourself that offer youth programs/activities to connect with parents.  It does not matter when your activity takes place during the year or if it is what we offer in athletics, we want to be able to offer you an opportunity to make connections with parents that help foster keeping kids active.  We plan to host this Multi-Sport Clinic during all three seasons this year (Fall, Winter, Spring) and will have dates for the next two soon.

For Saturday, we encourage you to have some type of take-home information or a handout that directs parents where to find out more information about your program.   We ask that you complete the registration form using the link below so we know how much space we will need, and so we can help promote your organization's website and/or social media.  Whether you or someone from your organization can attend, or you would like us to place handouts out for parents to take on your behalf, please complete the form by Thursday, 9/12.  If you know of other organizations that have not received this email, please feel free to share with any other youth programs in the East Windsor/Hightstown area as we attempt to build a contact list.  Thank you for all you do with our community youth programs and thank you for any efforts you can do to help us kick this new program off.

Renovation of HEWYBL Playing Fields

HEWYBL Families,

HEWYBL is happy to announce that our fields will be undergoing a major renovation in the fall of 2019 and the spring of 2020.

After years of sports use and the expansion of Flag Football, our fields need to be leveled, reseeded and expanded to meet the needs and playing requirements for our families.

Due to this renovation project, East Windsor Township has afforded us the ability to play at Etra Park so that we may provide our programs that provide the children in our community a place to play and families to interact.

With the use of the fields incurs and extra burden on all of us to treat Etra Park like Hancock Field.  We need to be extra diligent to assure that we keep the playing areas; parking lots and other facilities clean and assure that after our use the fields are clean.  East Windsor is providing us the ability to utilize the fields and the only requirement is that we provide a safe environment for play and we do not damage Etra Park.

This is an exciting time for all of us, but especially the children who will have the opportunity to play on fields that have been renovated to suit their needs.

We thank everyone for your assistance in making the seasons at Etra Park successful.  If there are any questions or concerns please contact us.

Concussion Awareness Training

As many of you know, HEWYBL requires all coaches to take the Online Consussion Training offered by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).  We are now rolling this awareness program to parents/guardians of our youth athletes. Attached is a link for the Concussions Awareness Fact Sheet which all should review.  This Fact Sheet is also located in our Documents tab from the Home Page.  The Online Concussion Training is required for coaches and recommended for parents and others helping to keep athletes safe from concussion.  The free course takes only 30 minutes to complete and keeps our children safe.

On Line Coaches Application

For the safety of your children HEWYBL uses a on line service call "Protect Youth Sports" to run background checks on all our coaches.  The link can be found on our home page on the right hand panel.

TD Bank Members

Are you looking for a way to give to a great non-profit organization (HEWYBL) which gives a lot to the kids of the Hightstown/East Windsor Community?  Just by being a member of TD Bank you can help!

Please review the documents below.  If you have accounts with TD Bank, starting Monday you should call Bridget Wiese and tell her your name and account numbers and HEWYBL will receive a donation every year.

If any other family, friends or business have TD Bank accounts, please provide our name to them and they can also have us affiliated with their accounts and we will receive a yearly donation.

If people want to open new accounts the bank will give them $25 and we will also get a donation every year.

Thank you for your continued help and support!
